• Information Provision: Receive detailed information about certification requirements, costs, and timelines
• Application Submission: Complete and submit the certification application form
• Scope Definition: Clearly define the scope of certification including locations, activities, and processes

• Eligibility Assessment: Review of application to ensure all requirements are met
• Competence Verification: Assignment of auditors with appropriate technical competence
• Audit Planning: Development of audit plan based on size, complexity, and scope
• Quotation Approval: Review and acceptance of certification fees

Objectives:

• Review of management system documentation
• Evaluation of implementation status
• Assessment of audit readiness
• Review of internal audit and management review records
• Agreement on audit schedule and logistics for Stage 2

Activities Include:

• On-site evaluation of management system implementation
• Interviews with personnel at all levels
